I never liked the idea of hosting a blog, because there was a certain self-importance attached to the concept of publishing thoughts that you expected other people to read. That has changed in the last year or so. My brother and several other friends have started blogs, and I love them. I get upset when they don't update them, because it seems to be great way for me to keep up with their lives.
